International Therapy Examination Council (iTEC) was established in 1947. As an internationally leading assessment organization, it has always issued high-quality and respected qualification certificates, recognized and funded by the UK Department of Education. It is the UK's leading professional examination board, providing high-quality qualifications that enable people to practice professionally in the UK and around the world. iTEC currently has registered centers in countries across Africa, North America, South America, Asia, the Middle East and Europe.

iTEC represents the Department for Innovation, Universities and Skills (DIUS) to provide over 400 UK government-recognized and Europe-recognized qualifications approved by the Office of Qualifications and Examinations Regulation (OFQUAL).

iTEC is an officially recognized awarding organization approved by the Qualifications and Curriculum Authority (old department: QCA) (new department: Qualifications and Curriculum Development Agency - QCDA) and the Department for Education and Employment (DFEE). It is a recognized awarding organization regulated by the Office of Qualifications and Examinations Regulation (OFQUAL) (Registration Number: RN5149). Therefore, our iTEC courses are regulated, holding (old system - Qualifications and Credit Framework - QCF) / (current system - Regulated Qualifications Framework - RQF) and (European Qualifications Framework - EQF) qualification frameworks.

Courses follow the latest iTEC QCF (Qualifications and Credit Framework) syllabus introduced by the UK government in September 2009 and revised in September 2012.
This means that when the government establishes a National Mandatory State Regulator for Complementary Medicine, your qualification will be automatically recognized. In addition, your qualification will be recognized so that you can work in the UK National Health Service, and your course credits can be counted towards university degree program credits.
