If you are a new user looking to apply for an iAM Smart account, you can follow these steps:

    • Hong Kong Identity Card (must be issued on or after November 26, 2018).
    • A personal mobile phone (with NFC and biometric authentication enabled).
    • An email address.

  2. Download and Install the App:

    • Download and install the iAM Smart mobile application on your phone.

  3. Open the App:

    • Launch the iAM Smart app and select "Start Quick Registration."

  4. Select Identity Type:

    • Choose "Adult (18 years or older)" or "Minor (11 to 17 years old)" based on your age.

  5. Agree to the Declaration:

    • Read and agree to the applicant declaration.

  6. Identity Card Verification:

    • Take a photo of the front of your identity card and hold it close to the NFC antenna of your phone for about eight seconds to read the information.

  7. Facial Recognition:

    • Align your face within the frame on the screen and follow the instructions to complete the real-person and facial recognition.

  8. Biometric Authentication:

    • Provide the built-in biometric authentication (such as fingerprint or facial recognition) on your mobile phone.

  9. Set a Password:

    • Set a 6-digit password for your iAM Smart account.

  10. Provide Email Address:

    • Enter your email address to complete the registration.
